Borthwood Brie with Truffle is an exciting new cheese from the Isle Of Wight Cheese Co. New for Christmas 2024, this luxurious new cheese will please the many IOW Cheese Co. fans and restaurants. They have been longing for a new Isle of Wight addition to their cheese board. And three Gold medals at the Cheese Awards before it is even introduced to the public. Now that’s saying something.
The Borthwood Brie is the Soft White mould rinded cheese made by hand at Queenbower Dairy (near Borthwood Copse would you believe). When we have tastings in our deli we have to provide spoons!
In our deli one of our best selling specials is Borthwood Brie with Truffle in a Toasted Sourdough Sandwich using Lost Mill Sourdough, semi dried tomatoes (you could use Organic Sundried Tomatoes soaked in a little oil), rocket and Wild & Fruitful Hot Honey.
In the summer we intend to take a Borthwood Brie with Truffle and a Lost Mill Sourdough Baguette and sit at Newtown Creek and eat. Not a good one to take to the beach though, with all that sand.
Three Gold medals at the Cheese awards before it is even introduced to the public. Now that’s saying something.
