Chicken Lollipop Spice Blend by Seasoned Pioneers? OK, it’s not self explanatory, but believe us it is amazing. This is a winning combination of Smoked Pimenton, Sea Salt, Cumin, Oregano, Coriander, Fennel, Bay Leaf. And yes you may have those things in your cupboard, but in a blend like this, with top quality ingredients, already balanced and no having to grind it all yourself or having to keep ALL of the ingredients fresh in their jars, this is one you’ll use for so many dishes.
You can use it as a dry rub or marinade, in couscous (see below) or bulgur wheat, on your roast potatoes for an easy and different side dish or on your roast chicken.
Seasoned Pioneers sent us a sample of Chicken Lollipops Spice Blend and their Ras Al Hanout to try and we used both up rather quickly. We were so impressed by the quality of not only the balance, but the individual spices in the blends. Top notch coriander seeds in the chicken lollipops and gorgeous chunky rose tips in the ras al hanout.

Well Naked Chef has been one of ours since 1999. One of our go to recipes is the spicy couscous. Back then couscous was new… to England. Even after all the amazing Middle Eastern books adorning our shelves we still like an old favourite. It’s basically a combination of spices fried until aromatic (yep chicken lollipops), then you throw in some diced red onion and a little red wine vinegar to make it marmaladey and then add your couscous and water and season with salt flakes.
