Zaytoun Organic Olive Oil (250ml) from Palestine. Naturally organic and grown on the West Bank. This is a first press extra virgin olive oil and the first ever Fair Trade olive oil in 2009. Ethically sourced from small scale farmers.
Produced from rain fed and hand picked olives in fertile olive groves that have been tended by these farmers and their ancestors before them.
The first press of the olives gives the purest and highest quality. The pressing of the olives is done soon after harvest and uses traditional methods. Palestinians have been cultivating olives for thousands of years and still do that despite the challenges of farming under illegal occupation.
This beautiful olive oil can be used in cooking, but to really appreciate the flavour just dip some lovely Sourdough Bread into it for a snack. Drizzle over room temperature Isle of Wight Tomatoes. Use as a dip with Tomato Balsamic Vinegar.
