Organic Brown Rice Miso 150g is a thick, fermented paste for enhancing your food and enriching your life, or the other way round. Used as a seasoning in Japan this brings more than just seasoning to dishes. Yes, I’m going to say it – umami!!
Miso (みそ or 味噌) is made from fermented soya bean, then mixed with salt and ‘Koji’, which is a mould made from fermented soya bean, barley or rice. In this case brown rice. The mix is fermented for between 6 – 18 months depending on the weather and climate.
We like our mix with sesame seeds and a little olive oil, rubbed onto a piece of salmon before cooking in the oven. An absolute game changer.

We have started making miso mushroom toasted sandwiches in our deli. It started with a mushroom miso recipe and evolved somewhere.
